The sonic result is a slightly refined sound, with a smoother, lower frequency response and an additional shimmer. Meinl Heavy Hammered models have extra weight for cut and volume. The Meinl Byzance-Brilliant cymbals are made in Turkey, from B20 bronze, hand hammered into shape, with narrow battens and brilliant finish. With increased length, diameter, and weight over the standard model, the Meinl Stick & Brush Heavy series is developed for heavy hitters that want to transfer the energy from their sticks into their drums.
