EVANS HD (Heavy Duty Dry) snare drumheads effectively balance durability and sonic response. snare heads feature 2 ply construction, combining a 5-mil film outer ply and a 7.5 -mil film inner ply. Evans Heavy Duty series drum heads feature precision-drilled dry vents around the perimeter of the head and a 2-mil overtone control ring on the underside that “floats” with the head, eliminating excessive overtones and controlling sustain. Snare heads feature two plies of film. An outer ply of 5mil film and an inner ply of 7.5mil film, in combination with a 2mil overtone control ring on the underside that “floats” with the head, eliminating excessive overtones and controlling sustain.
