Premium electronics
The SG Modern is outfitted with two Epiphone ProBuckers. These pickups are a modern re-creation of the legendary PAF humbucker and feature the same Alnico II magnets. Characterized by their rich, warm tones and tight bottom end, Epiphone ProBuckers are sure to meet almost any player’s need. This axe also has extra switching options that make this an axe of all trades. You get coil splitting, phase inversion, and treble bleed, controlled by push-pull volume and tone pots. Asymmetrical modern neck
The Epiphone SG Modern is outfitted with a mahogany neck with an Asymmetrical SlimTaper neck profile. Guitar players around Sweetwater note that the neck has a “D” shape on the bass side and a flat “C” shape on the treble side. It will comfortably fill your hand no matter whether you play thumb-over or thumb-behind.
