The Cort Core series is a range of well-crafted electroacoustic guitars with a solid body construction and a more sober design, in which the ornamental elements are fully compensated by the natural acoustic sound, good playability and affordable price for solid body guitars.

The CORE-DC Mahogany OPBB is an electroacoustic guitar with an all-mahogany body in the shape of a “Western” Dreadnought. The resonance qualities of the solid case are enhanced by the grooving of the lid, reduced by hand (Hand Scalloped-X), and the finish of the Open Pore case.

A 20-fret ovangkol tuning fork is glued to the mahogany neck. Good pairing in the higher positions of the tuning fork is facilitated by the lower cutout of the body (Venetian). Stable tuning is ensured by fixing the strings through the zero and genuine buffalo bone frets in the company’s Die-Cast mechanisms with black pegs and ovangkol headstock. The Fishman Sonitone electronics, with a Sonicore subcoil pickup and volume and tone controls located at the mouth of the instrument, provide easy sound options. The guitar is supplied in a high-quality case (Cort Deluxe Soft-Side Case) that combines the best features of the cases with the practicality of padded concert bags.

Easy voicing options are provided by Fishman Sonitone electronics with a Sonicore sub-coil pickup and Volume and Tone controls located in the instrument’s soundhole. Dreadnought Cutaway Body Shape

Considered the “standard” in acoustic guitar body shapes, dreadnought achieved its status based on performance. This shape delivers big volume with clarity, powerful low-end, rich midrange, and lush highs, and the smooth cutaway allows easy and comfortable access to the high frets. The dreadnought remains popular today, especially for flatpicking styles.
