This 2RU 34×16 channel Yamaha MTX5-D is the larger of the two MTX models, with even more features than its MTX3 cousin, such as 16-channel Dante digital I/O and a Mini-YGDAI card slot for installing even more analog or digital I/O. There are also 16 channels of YDIF digital I/O, eight channels of mic/line input and eight channels of analog output, two RCA stereo line inputs, and an SD card slot. Both input and output stages each have useful functions like auto gain control, feedback suppressors, and priority duckers, in addition to standard DSP processing functions like EQ and compression. The Yamaha Matrix Series is easy to set up and configure thanks to its MTX-MRX software, and a dedicated iPhone app allows remote volume and preset control. Finally, the MTX Series is easy to control with DCP Series wall-mounted control panels or AMX/Crestron touch panel devices, and they come with the required connectors. Flexible routing options
Both MTX models feature eight channels of mic/line input and eight channels of analog output, plus 16 channels of YDIF digital I/O and an SD card slot for playback of MP3/WAV files. The MTX5-D adds even more, with 16 channels of Dante digital I/O and a Mini-YGDAI card slot which allows you to install even more analog or digital I/O (card sold separately). Two RCA stereo line inputs, a 9-pin RS232 remote port, and included Euroblock plugs sweeten the deal. Oh, and you can daisy-chain up to four MTX devices together! Useful DSP Functions
MTX units both have handy DSP functions for both input and output. On the input side, you’ll find 3-band parametric EQ, compressor/gate, auto gain control, priority duckers, and feedback suppressors. For output processing, you’ll have 4-band parametric EQ, speaker processing, and delay. This functionality allows you to tweak your business’s audio without the need for additional effects processors. There’s even a library of Yamaha-manufactured speakers built-in to the MTX-MRX software, allowing easy selection of settings that optimize the performance of your business’s speakers.
