These genuine American originals give you a warm round tone with metallic coloration that is often imitated but never really duplicated successfully. This is the Raw Brass Snare Drum offers a raw, rusty look and sound similar to its counterpart, the Black Beauty. The Raw Brass Snare features shells identical to Ludwig’s Black Beauty collection, however offers a drier sound with a rich set of overtones, and a crisp attack. The brass provides warm, metallic tones, which are ideal for a wide range of drumming styles and genres. It also responds with superior sensitivity to other similar snares. The Ludwig Raw Brass Snare Drum features the new P-88 strainer that uses a ball bearing, and is also ratcheted, allowing for precise tuning of the snare wires. The Raw Brass Snare features a 1.2mm seamless brass shell and 2.3mm steel triple flanged hoops. Each Raw Brass Snare is uncoated, which means over time it will oxidise, resulting in a unique ageing process to give your kit a truly personal, unique aesthetic.

The Ludwig 14″ x 5″ Raw Brass with Tube Lugs LB454RT features a body constructed of 1.2mm thick unpainted seamless brass, triple-bent 2.3mm thick steel hoops, P88AC Throw Off + P35P Butt Plate stringing mechanics, ten shells (Tube Lugs), and Ludwig Weather Master bellows. The new raw brass features an un-plated 1mm brass shell to achieve a very unique “earthy” look.
